Becoming a Volunteer Mediator

The cities of Palo Alto, Los Altos and Mountain View all use volunteer mediators. All volunteer mediators must hold a certificate from a 40-hour mediation training course that is acceptable to Project Sentinel. The volunteers are drawn from citizens who live, work or own property in the community served by the mediation program. They are chosen each Spring by a Selection Committee comprised of mediators from the program based on applications and interviews.
