Pre-Purchase Counseling

If interested in Pre-Purchase Counseling, please follow the steps below. 

Please note that this counseling is mandatory for those who participated in our Online First Time Homebuyer course if participants wish to get an HUD 8 Hour Homebuyer Education Class certificate.

Pre-Purchase counseling is a client-tailored session that addresses home-ownership topics and assesses where the client is in the home buying process.

​

Such topics include the following:

  • An in depth financial and credit review.

  • Advantages and disadvantages of being a homeowner.

  • Calculating what the client can afford to purchase.

  • Looking for financing and obtaining credit approval.

  • Understanding debt and income ratios.

  • The types of loans, mortgage providers, and other sources of funding.

  • Shopping for the right home.

    • Planning the search.

    • Working with licenced realtors.

    • Condos vs. single family dwellings.

  • Navigating ESCROW and interacting with title companies.

Complete & Return An Intake Packet

Once we have received an intake packet it will be entered into our system.

​

Your case will be assigned to a Housing Counselor.

A Housing Counselor Will Contact You

After reviewing the intake, the counselor will contact you to make an appointment.

 

You may be asked to provide additional documents.
